Fullstack Engineer (Node.JS / React) - Senior Level 

Washington DC Area OR Remote

Bright is hiring a Senior Fullstack Engineer to help lead the product development for our growing immersive learning company. We are an investor-backed company looking to mature our existing product, as well as add notable AI, NLP, and VR capabilities this year. Position Overview
You will focus on enhancing the product and managing a small team of software developers. You will also collaborate with the founding team to build and curate the product backlog.

  • Implement designs into frontend components

  • Add and maintain frontend workflow and business logic

  • Add new API endpoints and business logic

  • Develop and update database models through code

  • Review code pull requests by your colleagues

  • Create technical specs to explore approaches to upcoming tasks

  • Lead a team of 3+ engineers + partner with Product/Testing teams on implementation of a 6-12 month product pipeline

 

Critical Experience

  • React

  • Node

  • API development with a backend framework (i.e. Express)

  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS)

 

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of CI / CD pipeline

  • Leadership experience with small development teams

  • Code samples of your development work

  • Ability to collaborate with founding team to refine and implement product backlog

Requirements:

  • 7+ Years Experience

  • Background Check - simple criminal (US federal and state), work experience and education history

 

Compensation:

  • Base: $180,000 - $220,000/year based on experience and skills.

  • Bonus eligible

  • Equity opportunity available
