Director of CX

Washington DC Area OR Remote

Our Director of CX position is a hybrid role in strategy + customer success that will help our customers get the most from Bright's immersive learning platform and operating model. We view this person as a key member of the growing CX team, and someone who will help shape the end-to-end Bright customer journey. We are looking for early hires interested in joining a fast-growing software company. We're establishing a culture that balances innovation/performance, and family life - those things don't have to be at odds! We already have a diverse team, and as an Equal Opportunity Employer, plan to keep it that way. We are passionate about helping our customers re-imagine learning, while growing their business in the process!

How You'll Spend Your Day:

  • Advising new customers through the development of an immersive learning strategy, and the adoption of the Bright platform

  • Helping drive customer understanding and adoption for Bright's new AI/NLP features, a distinguishing factor in this market

  • Managing a quarterly customer health review process through which we aim to improve customer P&L statement impacts + platform adoption

  • Designing + leading customer executive workshops

  • Leading/Coaching other CX team members in the customer onboarding + customer health review process

  • Helping write and build simulation content in the Platform for new customers alongside team members

  • Partner with Sales to identify + steward upsell/expansion opportunities

  • Travel: Up to 20% depending on demand; would be for targeted visits during key customer milestones (not the Monday-Thursday consulting travel model!)

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years experience managing customers (preferably in a B2B software company)

  • In love with the ambiguity that a startup environment brings; while we have a plan, we welcome those can help shape the future as well

  • Strong experience in human capital or learning setting

  • Substantial executive presence and confidence in stakeholder management, including Executive Level / C-suite

  • Advanced ability to investigate customer issues / solve complex problems

What's In It For You?

  • Getting in on the ground floor of a startup that seeks to redefine the future of corporate learning

  • Mentorship and close support from our team - we truly want everyone who touches Bright to be wildly successful in the coming years

  • Flexible work arrangements, including primarily work-from-home arrangements

  • Interaction with an experienced leadership, investor, and advisor team, and access to their networks

  • $120,000 - $150,000 base salary depending on experience

  • 10-30% Annual Bonus eligible

  • Eligible for equity grants through our Employee Stock Plan (ESP)
